Before moving to the United States from Holland in 2004. Stijn was the lead for Microsoft's Public Sector Sales and built its Consulting Services in the Netherlands. Stijn helped organize the largest Dutch Trade mission to Silicon Valley ever with over 200 business connecting with over 400 VCs. After heavily focusing on Cloud Marketing, and leading Product Marketing Launch for Office 365 and Microsoft's global SMB Marketing team--Stijn became a Fractional CMO in order to help start-up and mid-market software companies accelerate ARR Growth while leveraging my past lessons learned.
In Stijn's time at a Start-Up MightyCall, a SaaS Contact Center for Small Businesses, our team grew the company to 20,000 Freemium and over 2,000 paying customers in 6 months organically. This data driven, "customer-centric" approach to marketing means consistent long term growth. It is not easy, but it is rewarding. In the last 6 years, Stijn has been a SaaS CMO for 7 start-up companies. With responsibilities ranging from doubling lead volume, raising ROI, and lifting team morale during acquisition by a new company (Group Health)--to product management and positioning for companies in the Fortune 50--Stijn has served roles as both CMO and CEO.
